Why Service Charge Sorted Was Created

Smaller residential developments often face disproportionate financial risks. After insurance, managing agent fees are usually the second largest cost. Many leaseholders are unaware of the legal pitfalls and hidden expenses that can arise without expert guidance.

Service Charge Sorted was designed to give leaseholders clarity, control, and confidence. Our platform makes it easier to understand service charges, reduce unnecessary costs, and ensure compliance with UK property law.

ServiceChargeSorted.co.uk was created because the complexities of running a small block of flats of estate of houses are no less for a small block than they sre for a big block. The same landlord and tenant and company law applies, just the volumne of transactions is lower. So packaged all the expertise needed to keep the legal and financial aspects running, removed the cost of a property manager leaving the block owners as Client in charge of decision making and slashed the annual cost to approximately 25% of our minimum fee for full management.

Clients get the same quality assured processes and retain two key tasks: deciding what to budget (using the online tools we provide), uploading the occasional invoice should a contractor be called out e.g. to fix the gutter. The rest of it - well that is ServiceChargeSorted.

A service charge is the fee leaseholders pay towards the cost of managing and maintaining their building or estate.

For small blocks, fees can feel disproportionate because costs are spread across fewer households. Service Charge Sorted helps reduce unnecessary expenses and keep charges fair.
